By submitting an item for service, submitting an enquiry through our website, or engaging our services in any form, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not proceed.

These terms apply to all clients aged 18 and above. We do not provide services to minors. Persons aged under 18 must have a parent or guardian act on their behalf.

3. Service Description and Scope

We provide the following services from our workshop at 15 Lorong Maarof, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur:

Prices listed are standard service rates. Additional costs may arise if unexpected issues are found during the service. We will contact you before proceeding with any work that falls outside the original scope.

Services are available to clients within Malaysia. Items may be submitted in person at our workshop during opening hours.

4. Assessment and Approval Process

For vintage watch servicing, we conduct an initial assessment before any repair work begins. This assessment results in a written report provided to you. Work proceeds only after you have reviewed the report and given written or verbal approval.

For all services, if additional issues are discovered once work has commenced, we will pause and contact you to discuss revised scope and costs. No additional charges will be applied without your agreement.

6. Payment Terms

Payment for services is due upon collection of the item. We accept cash and major credit/debit cards. All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

If you choose not to proceed with a service after an assessment has been completed, a nominal assessment fee may apply. This will be discussed with you in advance.

We do not currently offer refunds on completed services where the work has been carried out as agreed. If you have a concern about the quality of work performed, please contact us at [email protected] and we will review the matter.

7. Items Left Uncollected

Items not collected within 60 days of notification may be subject to storage charges. Items not collected within 180 days, despite reasonable contact attempts, may be disposed of in accordance with Malaysian law. We will make all reasonable efforts to contact you before taking any such action.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the property of Cogsworth & Dial or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any part of this website without our prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers

Our services are provided in good faith based on the condition of the item as received. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes for very old or heavily worn items, particularly where parts are no longer commercially available.

Our website content is provided for general information purposes. It does not constitute professional horological advice for any specific timepiece without a direct assessment.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any loss, damage, or claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the service fee paid. We are not liable for pre-existing faults not caused by our work, nor for any consequential or indirect losses.

We take all reasonable care when handling items in our possession, but we are not liable for damage resulting from pre-existing structural weaknesses, undisclosed prior repairs, or conditions that were not apparent upon intake.

11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from our services shall first be addressed through direct communication. We encourage clients to contact us at [email protected] before seeking formal resolution.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
